  PolarCOM is an integrated NMEA 0183 marine navigation instrument data bridge and multipurpose data display. Available for Apple Mac OS X and Windows systems, it combines background server operation with high quality easy to read and fully customizable digital instrument views. PolarCOM is a fully-featured standalone application, as well as a central component of PolarIS -our integrated navigation product. Best of all - PolarCOM is free.

  • TCP and UDP network server support permits sharing your NMEA 0183 data with network-enabled navigation software

  PolarCOM can bridge any NMEA 0183 compatible data. It will understand and display data based on following sentences:
GLL,VTG,RMC,GGA,GSA,GSV,DBK,DBS,DBT,DPT,HDG,HDT,HDM,VHW,VWR,VWT,MWV,MWD,MTW

  PolarCOM provides a number of user-configurable audible and visual alarms including Arrival, Shallow Depth, Anchor Drag and XTE (Cross Track Error).   Available instrument types include: GPS position, Speed Over Ground, Speed Through Water, Analog and Digital Course Over Ground, Analog and Digital Heading, Analog True and Apparent Wind, Depth (DBS/DBK/DBT), Time of Day, GPS Satellite Status, XTE, Bearing/Distance/Estimated Time to Waypoint and Destination.
